THE PROJECT
Nebbia’s phygital approach proved to be in perfect harmony with the needs of the club. We chose to create an exhibition that traced the history of Cremonese by showcasing some of the most iconic jerseys, trophies, and significant historical documents.
The exhibition’s path wound through the various spaces of Cremonese’s ‘home,’ the “Zini” stadium. This solution allowed us to bring the city closer to the team, opening up places normally inaccessible to the public.
To guide visitors, we used digital informational elements and short explanatory videos. At the heart of the exhibition, a large LED wall projected a short film about the team’s history, entirely produced by Nebbia.
In addition to the exhibition, Nebbia managed the art direction for all parts of the celebrations, including communication and the creation of merchandise.
The event brought over 7,000 visitors to the stadium in three days.
DISPLAY CASES
The display cases are the heart of the exhibition.
Designed entirely by Nebbia, they are based on a concept that combines elements of a football match: the stadium lights, the green of the field, and the steel of the gates.
Two types of display cases were created, one for the jerseys and one for the trophies. The lighting inside the spaces was designed to enhance and add a touch of mystery to the historical memorabilia.
THE SHORT FILM
The short film, which moved many viewers, was among the works selected for the international competition “SPORT MOVIES & TV 2023” held by the International Federation of Cinema and Television in Sport, recognized by the International Olympic Committee in its 130 affiliated nations as a promoter of the values of sports and Olympism through images.
The short film featured the participation of both well-known and lesser-known individuals who, in various ways, contributed to writing important chapters in the history of the ‘grigiorossa’ (grey and red) team. This included Cesare Prandelli, the former National Team coach, who began his career with Cremonese, as well as Corrado Verdelli, the captain of the Anglo-Italian Cup triumph at Wembley, and vivid recollections from fans who have followed the team throughout its history.
MERCH
Nebbia was also given the responsibility of designing and producing commemorative merchandise. For this occasion we designed two t-shirts, a hoodie, a cap, and two scarf.
Leveraging in-house expertise with over a decade of experience in the streetwear market, Nebbia crafted graphics that combined tradition, graphic cleanliness, and modernity in line with current trends.
Furthermore, we handled the design and development of the online shop – based on Shopify – to create, once again, a phygital solution.
